SP101 .22 Setup

This lets you know what will need to be done to your Ruger SP101 to enable your Revolver Seal to function.

There are 2 permanent modifications that will need to be made to your SP101 in order for your kit to work properly:

1. Your barrel will need to be threaded to fit your .22 can (this is kinda obvious, but needed to be stated).

2. A through hole drilled to size #27.

We are working to set up a service to have your gun sent in to have these done. We are also working to create a fixture you can use as DIY option if you prefer to do the work yourself.

To assist with drilling the hole into the frame, you can download for free the SP101 .22 drilling fixture. ****

Alternatively, you can purchase the Ruger SP101 .22 Drilling Fixture.

Assembly overview (Note: always treat firearm as if it is loaded and point in a safe direction):

  1. Remove the hammer pivot pin. Hammer will move slightly out of alignment.

  2.  Insert the binding barrel first through the right shell and then in the place of the hammer pivot pin. Hammer will need to be moved slightly to align the holes (don’t cock hammer during this step).

  3. Screw Right shell to frame

  4. Load the firearm

  5. Screw Left Shell to the frame
